One of the residents at this site in Hassanabad recalled waking up one morning to find that varying sizes of boulders had tumbled down the hill slopes and landed in their village. Despite such omnipresent threats which are being exacerbated by shifting weather patterns and an environmental/climate emergency, construction continues. The mountains resist but the inhabitants are resilient. In a space where both man and nature are closely intertwined what does it take to mark a space as home in order to build in the shadow of mountains that provide an uneasy refuge?
